Social startup investor Tey Por Yee sponsored sewing machines to single mothers in Rajasthan India during Jakarta Cyber Startup Workshop.


17 January 2017, Rajasthan , India / Jakarta, Indonesia – Gomif Partners (Gomif) Cyber Startup Workshop is coming to Jakarta, Indonesia. Startup investor and philanthropist Tey Por Yee (Larry) took part in the sponsorship to Give 20 Sewing Machines to Single Mothers, as part of the Socialpreneurship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative demonstration on the workshop.

The program co-advisor, Tey Por Yee (Larry), demonstrated to the crowd how socialpreneur could donates to a program in Rajasthan, India, while conducting a workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Under this project, 20 sewing machines are to be distributed among 20 deprived marginalised poor rural & urban women & girls to establish their self-employment so that they may be self-employed and improve financial standard of their families.

Being unable to buy sewing machines, the deprived women are not able to establish self-employment despite got trained in sewing. This is the reason why their dreams to be self-employed never come true and lose ground in their Economic Development. The poor women depend on agriculture and daily wages and due to the lack of water they are not able to do agricultural Activities properly.

The program is organised by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, Ajmer, Rajasthan, India.
