Singapore, 30 December 2016 – 2 January 2017 – Gomif Partners (Gomif) startup business plans on Beijing Cyber Startup Workshop in China has extended to Singapore. Philanthropist and investor Tey Por Yee donates to Help Abused & Neglected Animals in the Seychelles, as part of Socialpreneur CSR 2017 demonstration during Singapore Startup Cyber Workshop.
The program co-advisor, Tey Por Yee (Larry), demonstrated the ease to contribute back to society by using Internet technology – anytime, anywhere, borderless. Larry showed the crowd how socialpreneur could donates to Help Abused & Neglected Animals in the Seychelles, over the world wide web.
The proceeds, along with donations from supporters are already being put to good use. Currently the SSPCA, a small organisation with limited resources run a small clinic on the main island of Mahe. The clinic was a huge success with 33 animals being treated and cared for over the duration of the day. This marks the start of a promising partnership between the SSPCA and GVI working together to care for the mistreated and neglected animals of The Seychelles.
Gomif Partners, co-lead by philanthropist and investor Tey Por Yee (Larry) is raising a $200 million VC fund, called Socialpreneur Growth Fund, to invest in social business concept startups and growth stage financing for innovation and technology-related companies in Europe, as well as within the Asia-Pacific region. The fund-raising and road shows started from London, Singapore, New York, Beijing and Tokyo.
Startups can apply to be part of the program beginning in the early part of January 2017. Gomif and its advisors will mentor the winning companies and help them enhance their business plans and products.
